• Has worked with Berlin History Workshop (since 1989), Ravensbrück Memorial Museum (1998 - 2000), Berlin office for compensation of Nazi victims (2001 - 2007)
• M.A. on migration history (1994)
• PhD on Visual History of German post-war tourism (2003)
